| About Dr. Diane Gibby |
In 1992, Dr. Gibby established the Women's Center for Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery at the Medical City Hospital Complex in Dallas. The Women's Center, with its all-female staff, offers a unique environment for providing personalized treatment and optimal medical care for women.
Dr. Gibby sees many types of patients, from women dealing with the diagnosis of breast cancer and desiring breast reconstruction following mastectomy, to the young mother desiring to improve her figure after having children.
Dr. Gibby's philosophy is to help others feel the best they can about their appearance. Visual changes, she has found, are often reflected on the inside, resulting in increased confidence and self-esteem.
After attending Duke University, Dr. Gibby received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Miami Medical School. She completed her five-year residency in General Surgery at the University of Virginia, followed by a two-year Plastic Surgery residency in Dallas at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She received her board certification in 1989. Currently, Dr. Gibby serves as clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Licensed in Texas, Dr. Gibby is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Medical Association, Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dallas County Medical Society and the Board Certified Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons of Dallas. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
